The Club SciKidz North Central New Jersey AI and Code camp offers innovators aged 11-15 a hands-on, project-based program to build their own AI models. Campers will dive into the real-world power of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, learning to code and create AI models from scratch. The curriculum focuses on core AI skills, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), data analysis and visualization, and face and voice recognition. Through engaging activities, students will gain practical experience in a complex and futuristic field, developing a final independent research project on a topic they care about to showcase their newly acquired skills.
A typical day at camp involves a morning greeting and science demonstration, followed by two guided STEM lessons. After lunch, recess, and team-building games, campers participate in two more build and experiment sessions in the afternoon. The week culminates in a Family Day event on Friday afternoons, where parents can view their camper's projects and understand their child's camp experience. The camp aims to spark creativity, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love for science and discovery through exciting, challenging, and life-impacting academic enrichment experiences.
