This four-week virtual summer research program, offered by the Stevens School of Business, immerses high school students in quantitative finance, focusing on financial analysis and data-driven decision-making. Participants engage in interactive lectures, practical exercises, and real-world case studies to build a deep understanding of quantitative finance concepts. A significant outcome of the program is the opportunity for students to earn both a Bloomberg Market Concepts certification and a Capital IQ certification, mastering powerful financial databases for investment research and analysis. The program also enhances coding skills, particularly in languages like R, which are essential for quantitative analysis in finance. Students will gain valuable expertise in financial mathematics and data analysis, preparing them for future academic and professional pursuits in the financial sector.
The program schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 10 am to 12 pm, consisting of synchronous live interactive sessions and self-paced learning modules.
