This camp offers a hands-on, collaborative environment where young innovators build, code, and compete with both LEGO® and VEX robots, developing critical STEM skills.
In the Club SciKidz Robotics: LEGO® & Vex-plorers! camp, kids ages 9-11 embark on a hands-on adventure into the world of robotics. Campers utilize LEGO® Education kits and VEX-plorer Kits to construct and program various robots. The curriculum emphasizes practical application, allowing students to bring their creations to life using intuitive drag-and-drop coding. Throughout the week, participants engage in exciting challenges such as navigating mazes, precisely sorting objects, and competing in friendly robot showdowns. This immersive experience fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills in a fun and collaborative environment, igniting a passion for STEM. Campers develop foundational engineering and coding skills, gaining confidence as they build, test, and refine their robotic designs.
A typical day includes a morning greeting and science demonstration, followed by two guided STEM lessons. After lunch and outdoor recess or team games, campers participate in two more build and experiment sessions in the afternoon, concluding with cleanup and project sharing.
This camp is ideal for young, aspiring engineers aged 9-11 who are eager to build, code, and engage in robotic challenges.
